We buy and process scrap metal ready to be sold to the export market. They sell it on to other countries or sell it for use in the UK.
We buy Ferrous and Nonferrous metals at our premises. The non ferrous prices can fluctuate daily depending on market values going up and down where as the ferrous prices are usually more stable but still go up as well as down in value according to market demand for these metals.
We do contract work with local engineering firms and other businesses to remove and process their waste metals.
Our clients are varied in the size of their business.
Customers that come to us range from the local residents who want to dispose of their old washing machine or cooker to companies and factories or farmers who are having a clear out of old machinery.
A lot of trade comes from people who are working locally for a short period of time and require a skip or want to bring their metal to us. We also get mobile workers such as Plumbers, Builders, Electricians, vehicle repairers etc coming to us with their metal.
We have a lot of customers with whom we have built up a relationship with over many years. Some of these customers use our services daily, weekly and others monthly or periodically.
A few of our customers are retired and bring scrap to us that they have been saving for years. All of our customers are valued customers and we do our best to look after them.
Large or heavy loads into and out of our premises are weighed on our 50 tonne weighbridge. Lighter loads are weighed on our 3 tonne weighbridge and are more accurate for weighing Non ferrous items such as Copper, Brass, Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Lead and cable etc.
